People, meet sweet baby {B}. I admit I was a little nervous before her session, as I am with most one year olds because you never know what you are going to get. However, it turns out that I had absolutely NOTHING to worry about! She was an absolute ray of sunshine & so fun to photograph (and I secretly, kind of wish I had a baby girl now). There were SO many great photos from her session that it was difficult to narrow it down. So, here is just a small sampling of my favorites. Enjoy!

I have had LOTS of newborn sessions recently & I have loved every minute of them. Like I said before, I think they are my favorite subjects to photograph. They dictate how the whole session goes & what you see is ALL them. This little guy was an angel to work with. We had to split his session into two different days because he was WIDE AWAKE and alert for the first one (at just 3 days old, can you believe it?) He seemed to always sense when I had my camera out and would wake up but we finally got him to sleep comfortably after a good feeding and he was out the rest of the session.

There were lots to choose from so please ignore the huge post….I just couldn’t decide.

I had to include this one because of that cute little smile even though I desperately need to get rid of this particular backdrop. I hate how shiny it is. Anyway, isn’t that little grin adorable?

Can I just way once again how much I LOVE shooting newborns? Even though they dictate everything that happens during a shoot, I love them still and I find it to be such an honor to capture how tiny & new they are. This little guy was great to work with. He took a bit to get to sleep but once he did, we got some great shots! Isn’t he sweet?

This was my second time photographing this cute family & the baby is the cute little peanut in the previous newborn post. It was fun to capture how much they had changed in just one short year. We lucked out and were able to avoid the rain which is a miracle considering it was raining just two streets over when we started shooting. So, aside from being a little chilly we lucked out and they were troopers. Even the little ladies did awesome in the cold weather. Here are a few of my favorites.

I am finally getting around to posting a few more from Baby S’s newborn session. There were SO many cute pics that it was hard to choose which ones to post so I’ll just keep it to a few. I decided that newborns are my favorite subjects to photograph. There is something so wonderful about a new life and I feel honored to capture the tiny sweet innocence that seems to disappear all to quickly.

I had the pleasure of spending my morning with this beautiful little lady. At just 4 weeks old, she was a natural in front of the camera and didn’t hardly make a peep throughout the entire session. Lots more to come but until then, here is a favorite from her session.

Christiansen Kids

This session was for a very dear friend of mine that I have known since 4th grade. We don’t see each other very often since she lives out of the country so it was really great to spend some time with her and get to know her little ones a little better. I will tell you that they are so full of LIFE! Each one has a very distinct personality, which I think you can see by each of their photos. Here are just a few of my favorites…

This handsome guy was awesome! He is so grown up for his age & is so polite and he can make friends with ANYONE! He struck up a conversation with a fisherman on our way to the car and I was totally amazed at his ability to just strike up a conversation with a complete stranger at the age of 6. I have no doubt he will grow up to be something great!

I was really worried we wouldn’t get a good one of this little guy. He was just not into having his picture taken…but with a little bit of chocolate and a rock pile things started looking up. Funny too because this one is my most favorite of the entire bunch. Cute little guy.

This little sweetie is HAPPY and excited & full of life (if you can’t tell by her adorable smile). She reminds me so much of her mom.

I was beyond excited to get a fabulous picture of this handsome guy smiling at me! I kept trying to be incognito and catch one when he wasn’t looking but he would always see me just as I was about to press the shutter button and run the other way. Don’t you love his smile? It is like sunshine!

I realized as I was going over my blog posts that I never shared this engagement session. It actually took place last summer but since it’s one of my favorites I thought I would share it here as well. Kaylee is a former co-worker of mine & I had the pleasure of shooting her wedding with Denise of Bella Blu Photography. The lighting was so great and they were awesome to work with & so in love. I adored working with this cute couple. Cassidy is actually the younger sister of one of my best friends in the whole entire world. I haven’t seen her for a LONG time (like high school, which was 10 years ago) so seeing how wonderfully beautiful she is after all these years (and to get to meet her cute hubby too) was really fun for me. They are so photogenic that I had a really hard time narrowing down which photos to post. These are just a few of my many favorites. Enjoy!

Birthday Boy

My sweet little nephew turned one over the weekend & I captured this little gem at his birthday party & had to share. He joined the world 10 weeks early so it was very exciting to celebrate the one year mark. He has been a special addition to everyone in our family. After all, how can you NOT smile at that adorable face covered in birthday cake?
